Canned Heat
'Howdy' is what the Americans say, mainly whilst on horseback or chewing straw, but it's something I picked up whilst recently IN LA FOR E3 2012!! Ginx TV requested I head over to Tinseltown and report all the latest from the video gaming world alongside recording a very special episode of Planet of the Apps - 8days of Assassins Creed 3, COD: Black Ops 2, the Wii U, tons and tons more plus the Californian weather made it one of 2012s greatest highlights for me thus far. Even had the chance to present my first Hollywood red carpet event whilst I was there, at the premiere of 'noobz' with Jason Mewes, boom.
Speaking of celebrity; had a very funny moment in post production upon my return as it turns out John Heder aka Napoleon Dynamite was absolutely loving the Savmeisters groove on the Wii U's Just Dance 3 - he was stood right behind me during my '360 gunslinging rodeo slide' (self-coined) obviously taking notes on how to be awesome, and no one was the wiser! Dont believe me?! Here's a mini pic to prove it...
Planet of the Apps is viewable in 21 countries around the world now and in Serbia we have quite the following, so upon our return from the US, the team and I travelled to Belgrade for our POTA: Summer Holiday episode which was simply glorious! Cheap as chips and a very pretty city, I did my very best to get noticed by the 9 people who might know me out there by wearing a shirt which looks like it was salvaged from the set of Saved by the Bell. I can confirm that Mark Paul Grosselar is neither dead or has been abducted by aliens ;) A superb trip and great to meet with the SBB Network in between ice-creams.
Aside from a cracking suntan and enough over-sized sodas to give me a hernia, I've been busy working on POTA, filming the Masterchart alongside other Ginx projects and working with Disney. Caught the Tour de France final in Paris, been completely captivated by the Olympics and how incredibly well Team GBR are doing!
Onwards and upwards as Gamescom in Cologne, Germany is right around the corner and I must begin my compulsory 'digestive system training' for all the bratwurst and pretzels soon to be hurled into my mouth. I can't wait.
Follow me on twitter @imadamsavage or get in touch via plaps@ginx.tv - for all my interviews from E3 and the latest game reviews, head to the Ginx TV YouTube channel, or if you've lost the use of your hands from all the Olympic renactments you've been simulating in the back garden, just use your chin or something and tap these links for a look at Alien: Colonnial Marines - http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sRfJPVQbP2s or Epic Mickey 2 - http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3k6AQqzsTVY for starters.
Right, I've got places to be and some frankfurters to scoff. Auf Wierdersehn...

May the Force be...holy s**t, I'm Going to LA!
If you live in the London area, you'll look back on this week with fond but sweaty memories of how ridiculously hot it's suddenly become. Absolutely glorious, let's break out the bbqs. Hope you're all doing well as we quickly approach summer. I've just been at Ginx Towers having watched over some of the very latest from Planet of the Apps which continues it's ascension to actually being not that bad. Ha.
Since I last posted, I've been working on some new material, and have had my recent project 'The Retro Show' picked up by www.escapistmagazine.com where I've been created as an 8bit animated character playing the oldies and reminding everyone how bloody terrible they were. Nostalgia is the Queen of pulling heart strings however, and one or two do slip through the net for being quite brilliant. Check out the premiere via http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/ginx/5672-The-Retro-Show-Bonanza-Bros.
I mentioned briefly about my attendance at the launch of Kinect Star Wars which gave me the chance to interview The Mummy star, John Hannah, QPR centre half, Rio Ferdinand and the world's most famous gold-plated android, C-3PO aka Anthony Daniels, amongst other British celebs. Had a fantastic night and as Ginx TV edges towards it's UK Launch, events such as these one will come quicker and faster. Bring it. You can watch it here via http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nujkWsUSHiE - I also had a cheeky pic taken with the Empire's finest you'll see above...
Other events have followed since such as the recent EA Showcase the biggest date in my diary happens to be next week as I'll be travelling to Los Angeles for the E3 Expo 2012! It's gonna be phenomenal, can't wait. Reporting for Ginx & Planet of the Apps, I'll be there from June 3rd-11th sampling all the amazing titles coming your way very soon. I'll be doing daily video blogs which will be watchable via the Ginx TV Youtube Channel so keep your eyes peeled. Ill have my arms out in vests.
If you want to see more of The Retro Show (erm, erm, now it's very own feature!!); Eps 2&3 are right here with a new instalment uploaded every tuesday http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-retro-show
Tune back in for plenty more soon, and as everyone says to eachother in California - 'catch ya later Bill and Ted!' (they say that, right?)

Adam Savage = Poke-thespian
Ok everyone, duly noted. I haven't updated my blog since the second week of January (*sigh) But, it's all because I've been mega stretched across a number of brilliant productions!
Life at Ginx is going strong with my recent ascension to 'the voice' of 'Games, Games, Games' - a countdown of great titles for the kids, which, for those who have watched the show will vouch, has arguably the catchiest them tune ever heard!..yes, it is the deafeningly high-pitched, squeaky one. 'Planet of the Apps' is approaching it's landmark 50th episode too (!!) which I'm incredibly pleased about, particularly as the show has added Xbox Live and Playstation Network reviews to it's roster, adding tons of clout to the mix.
In early March, I was delighted to invited to the Pokemon National Championships @ Birmingham's NEC Arena - interviewed champions, did a little battling myself and even met the man (yellow furball) of the hour. Now, I've interviewed some great celebs, but this guy...league of his own. Didn't say much mind you?! Here's a snapshot of us hugging because we're best friends, and follow this link for my chat to some of the competitors... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5UmrClV48&list=UUKw1Zh2KWkmgOC4FhIH1QOw&index=7&feature=plcp
But as mentioned in my last blog back in 1988...I've also been cast as the lead in short film 'The Road to Bethlehem' which we began shooting early February and will be finished my the end of March. Directed by Markus Sorsa, it should be heading to Sundance amongst other festivals which I cannot wait to see on the big screen. My reinstatement into my theatrical past doesn't end there though, as I can also be seen in director Katie Pow's 'Bleached' set for Cannes this summer! Playing a chap experiencing a horribly awful blind date has never been portrayed so convincingly.
Anyways, keep in touch via twitter @imadamsavage as always, and I'll have plenty more soon including my attendance at the UK launch of Kinect Star Wars...I had a chance to interview plenty of celebs including C-3PO himself, Anthony Daniels, and R2-D2! Some say my next blog might be as big a cliffhanger as Darth uncovering he's Luke's father in Empire Strikes Back. I'm gonna disagree and say it's bigger, but what of it?! Byyyye!

Good Morning 2012...and New Zealand.
The first blog of 2012 and I couldn't begin without wishing you all a happy new year! Hope you all had a great evening (no doubt it was an anti-climax) - I thought it was about time I went down to Westminster to see Big Ben in person and it wasn't actually that busy?? Sure, we couldn't get any closer than Trafalgar Square, and all we saw of the fireworks were a few sparks coming from behind a building, but it's done. Ticked off the list.
Over the Christmas break I had the opportunity to do some amazing stuff. The day itself saw lovely time spent with Fay's family, then boxing day we returned to my parent's, where my 13yr old brother thought it best to celebrate Christmas by asking Santa to get onesie's for my other brothers and I. One was a tiger, the other a devil, me...a monkey :( Still, at least mine had a tail (I'm aware that's the worst bonus ever). The days that followed saw Christmas tea at The Ritz, and Winter Wonderland's ferris wheel for dessert - went round 4 times, wasn't expecting that. Almost had to be guerneyed off due to nausea. Saw the Royal Ballet's 'The Nutcracker' at the Opera House too which was a great experience. But, a bit mental.
And so, back to TV land and the New Year has graced the world with more Planet of the Apps - we've just got the brand new PS Vita in so watch this space for some new features, coming soon! Writing up some new pitch's for Indies at the moment which'll hopefully welcome some interest, Masterchart is also tightening up with tighter links and snappier content which should look tops, and the piece de resistance is Adam Savage working as the lead (?) in a short film this coming February! Filming begins in a few weeks but I'll have plenty more to tell in my next update. Online; submissions have begun on theescapistmagazine.com and I've created a new review concept called 'Level One' in which I play the first few mins of new games, commentating frankly. The first instalment will be uploaded soon and I'll drop the links in due process.
POTA continues to expand globally for now which I'm thrilled about - I've attached a pic which a mate of mine in New Zealand sent to me recently. He was simply eating breakfast watching telly, and then look whose mug curdled his milk! Ha. Continue to check out ginx.tv for the show or follow me via twitter @imadamsavage. In the meantime, here's a sampler of POTA via youtube from December so take a peek and ill see you soon! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALNgcjhD1fM
